Renewable Energy Certificates

The third solution in our strategy is renewable energy.  Utility scale wind power is very cost effective and efficient and you can help bring more wind to the grid through purchasing Green-e certifice RECs.  Our Driven by the Wind program allows you to offset the greenhouse gas emissions you haven't been able to eliminate at the source through conservation, efficiency or locally generated renewable energy such as solar. 

Using this tool you can calculate what your carbon emissions are from your vehicle, travel, or household utilities. Then with every dollar you spend you'll be bringing 50 kilowatt hours of clean electricity to the grid, saving 50 pounds of coal from being burned, and keeping 100 pounds of CO₂ out of the atmosphere.

Your tax deductable donation will also fund the Green Heart Community Initiatives as well as support new wind projects in schools.
